What the reviewed source says

Start with the documented condition, not a parts guess.

NHTSA campaign 25V616000 includes certain 2025 to 2026 MINI Cooper vehicles. BMW of North America, LLC is recalling certain 2025-2026 X1 and X2, MINI Cooper Convertible, MINI Cooper, MINI Countryman S ALL4, and 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 vehicles. The torsion bar in both front seat belt retractors may have been damaged during production. A damaged seat belt retractor may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Check the complete VIN before arranging work

Enter the 17-character VIN in NHTSA's recall lookup and ask the manufacturer or an authorised dealer to confirm whether the campaign is open for this vehicle.

Boundary

A year, make and model match does not prove that every vehicle is included. The VIN result controls eligibility.
