What the official procedure directs
Kia installs updated Electronic Parking Brake software so the brake engages automatically in specified parked conditions. If intermediate-shaft damage is found after the software installation, Kia replaces the shaft.
Recall 24V-214 is based on assembly and production records, not a mileage threshold. The report states that spline damage can develop over time.
